Mittlerweile ist der erste Tag der Gamescom zu Ende und ich versuche noch kurz zu verarbeiten was ich gesehen habe. Leider blieb mir nur wenig Zeit über die Messe zu schlendern, da ich mir den Tag voll gepackt hatte. Zusätzlich zu meinen Terminen, hab ich mich noch in die Cyberpunk 2077 einschleusen können. Aber ein paar Kleinigkeiten sind mir bereits aufgefallen. Es wirkt alles so als gäbe es etwas mehr Platz und Luft. Freie Räume wurden sinnvoll genutzt und die Teilung von Halle 10.2 wirkt sehr gelungen. Beim Cosplay Village scheint diese Ordnung leider für ein wenig Sterilität zu sorgen. Kann aber auch sein, dass die Leere nur diesen Anschein erweckte, da ich erst kurz bevor die Messe geschlossen hat, ein Blick werfen konnte. Wer wieder Auf die Messe Fährt ist dies Jahr auch wieder gut bei Wargaming beraten und wer Sabaton Fan ist sollte morgen ein Auge auf den Stand haben. Mir hat nämlich ein Vögelchen gezwitschert, das dort ein Liveauftritt stattfinden wird. Musik gab es auch außerhalb von Halle 8 wieder zu hören und wer thisEguy schon immer mal Live erleben wollte war hoffentlich vor Ort. Ansonsten haben so einige Aussteller beeindruckende Stände gezimmert, die durchaus einen Besuch wert sind. Damit möchte ich für heute erst einmal schließen, denn es ist spät und Morgen warten wieder haufenweise Termine. Gute Nacht euch allen.

Halle 11.2 erhält ein neues Gesicht. In diesem Jahr wird dort eine zweite Signing Area entstehen um vor allen Fans Platz zu bieten, die ihre Youtuber sehen wollen. Mit von der Party sind Dante Axe, DerKeller, DoctorBenx, Felix von der Laden, GamerBrother, KatiKarenina, LPmitKev, Lusor Koeffizient, Marky, NoHandGaming, Saftiges Gnu,Sarazar, SimFans.de und TisiSchubec. Änderungen können sich natürlich noch ergeben. Weiterhin findet ein so genanter food court, seinen Platz. Auf deutsch würde ich das vermutlich Futtermeile nennen. Und da immer noch Raum zu Verfügung steht, wird es neben dem Platz der für den COC Cup und den RC drift Games, noch eine chill out zone geben. Klingt eigentlich nach der idialen halle zum abschalten. Was zu beißen und platz zum sitzen und das ganze gewürzt mit Unterhaltung. Warten wir ab was daraus wird.

Auch Backwoods Entertainment ist wieder auf der Gamescom dabei. Das Studio das mit Unforeseen Incidents, ein klassisches Point&Click-Adventure mit einem sehr eigenwilligen Grafikstiel, von sich reden machte. Dies Jahr sind sie mit RESORT, in der Indie Arena Booth in Halle 10.2, zu finden. Resort erzählt die Geschichte des kleinen Kurortes Laburnum Creek, das in kürze von einem Komet ausgelöscht werden soll. Viele der Bewohner wollen sich nicht evakuieren lassen. Laura Tanner besucht den kleinen Ort für ihre Kolumne und findet sich in einem Abenteuer wieder in dem Träume und Realität zu verschmelzen scheinen.

Die Gamescom rückt näher und jetzt startet auch der Bewerbungszeitraum für den Gamescom Award 2019. Bis zum 31. haben die Aussteller nun Zeit ihre Werke einzureichen und vielleicht einen Preis in den 28. Kategorien abzustauben. Am 19. August wird dann der Jury-Gewinner gekürt und am 24. August der Publikums-Gewinner per Live-Stream.

Zum zehnten Geburtstag von Trine hat sie Modus Games sich was einfallen lassen. Im Juli ist eine Reihe von Ankündigungen geplant, Anfang macht ein neuer Teil der Indie Access-Serie. In dieser wird der Komponist des Soundtrack vorgestellt und gezeigt wie dieser die Atmosphäre unterstreicht. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince erscheint im Herbst 2019 auf PC und allen Konsolen. Zusätzlich zum neuen Teil erscheint die Trine: Ultimate Collection, die alle 4 Teile beinhalten wird, plus einer Menge Bonusinhalt. Diese ist dann sowohl physisch als auch als download erhältlich.

Die Gamescom rückt näher und allmählich stehen die Hallenpläne fest. Da die Besucherzahlen jedes Jahr weiter steigen, möchte die Messe jetzt das hohe Aufkommen besser verteilen und gleichzeitig dem Verlangen der Aussteller nach mehr Fläche nachkommen. Als Lösung wird nun die Halle 11.3 geöffnet und vergrößert die Fläche um 210.000 Quadratmeter welches eine Steigerung um 5% ausmacht. In der Halle sollen vor allem ganz bestimmte Events ihren Platz finden. Auch möchte die Messe die Aufenthaltsqualität verbessern. Breitere Gänge, mehr Flächen zur Entspannung und auch zusätzliche Catering- und Lounge-Zonen sollen dazu beitragen. Auch werden die Hallen wieder einmal umgestellt. Halle 10.2 werden vom neuen Indie Village, der Retro Arena, dem Gamescom Campus und der Family & Friends Zone belegt. Die Merchandise Arena nimmt ebenfalls an Fläche zu und wird jetzt Halle 5.2 und Teile von Halle 5.1 belegen. Den Rest von 5.1 nimmt dann das Cosplay Village ein, was auch durchaus sinnvoll ist, da dann das Village genug ruhe für die Cosplayer bieten dürfte um soziale Kontakte zu knüpfen. Der Außenbereich von Halle 8 hingegen ist wie gewohnt die größte Outdoor Area und auch halle 1 bis 4 sind wie letztes Jahr der Business Bereich.
