Der dritte Tag der Messe ist vorbei und das bedeutet, dass die Business Area heute geschlossen hat. Auch ich habe noch bis kurz vor Schluss noch immer Termine wahrgenommen, um so viele Spiele anzuschauen wie möglich. Ganze sechs Titel waren es heute, ein paar davon noch unter Embargo. Da ich erst in meinen Unterlagen nachschauen müsste, welche davon bleibt, halte ich mich bei den Titeln erst einmal zurück. Was ich jedoch schon verraten kann, ist, dass ich wieder Kontakt mit Wargaming aufgenommen habe und es fest der Plan ist, nächstes Jahr wieder mit zu mischen. Vielleicht noch nicht in alter Größe, aber ich denke, dass viele sich darauf freuen, den alten Halle 8 Bewohner wieder willkommen zu heißen. Ansonsten gibt es nichts Neues auf der Messe, außer dass heute der Tag des Regens gewesen ist. Grundsätzlich ist ein Tag der Messe immer etwas verregnet und bringt natürlich noch mehr von den Massen in die schon recht engen Gänge. Wollen wir hoffen, dass die zu Großteilen schon angereisten Trade Visitor etwas Entspannung bringen. Aus Erfahrung ist am Samstag aber der Besucherstärkste Tag. Wenn der Cosplay Contest nicht euer Ziel auf der Messe ist, hoffe ich, dass ihr euren Besuch auf den Sonntag gelegt habt, denn die Messe ist ausverkauft und gibt vermutlich wenig Gelegenheit, sich noch ein Ticket zu besorgen.

The third day of the fair is over and that means that the Business Area has closed today. Even I still kept appointments until shortly before the end to look at games as much as possible. There were a whole six titles today, a few of them still under embargo. Since I'd have to check my records first to see which ones are staying, I'll hold back with the titles for now. But what I can tell you is that I got in contact with Wargaming again and the plan is to get back to the fray next year. Maybe not in the old size yet, but I think many are looking forward to welcome the old Hall 8 resident again. Other than that, nothing new at the fair, except that today has been the day of the rain. Basically, one day of the fair is always a bit rainy and of course brings even more of the crowds into the already quite tight hallways. Let's hope that the Trade Visitor, who have already left, will bring some relief. From experience, Saturday is the busiest day. If the Cosplay Contest isn't your goal at the fair, I hope you've scheduled your visit for Sunday, because the fair is sold out and probably doesn't give much opportunity to get another ticket.

Tag 2 der Gamescom ist vorbei und meine Füße sind jetzt schon ein Krisengebiet. Noch drei Tage und der Zauber ist wieder vorbei, aber keine Angst, die nächste Messe kommt bestimmt. Auch der heutige Tag war voller Arbeit, aber es ist immer wieder schön mit Entwicklern sprechen zu können, die ihr Game mit Freude und Begeisterung vorstellen. Los ging es heute mit der Airport Sim und führte dann über Simon the Sorcerer dem Hardware Hersteller MSI, Broken Rods zu Starfield. Besonders von MSI gibt es die nächste Zeit vermutlich ein paar Specials. Zur Gamescom gibt es vor allem eins zu sagen, heute war der erste Tag, an dem die Messe allen zugänglich war und es war voll. Bei der Anzahl mache ich mir so meine Gedanken, wie es am Samstag aussehen wird. Sucht euch am besten gegen Mittag ein ruhiges Plätzchen und verlasst dieses besser nicht vor 15 Uhr. Vielleicht bewundert man das umfangreiche Programm der Cosplay Bühne.

Day 2 of Gamescom is over and my feet are already a disaster. Three more days and the magic is over again, but don't worry, the next trade show is coming soon. Today was also full of work, but it's always nice to talk to developers who present their games with fun and enthusiasm. Today I started with the Airport Sim and went on to Simon the Sorcerer, the hardware manufacturer MSI, Broken Rods and Starfield. Especially from MSI there will probably be some specials in the near future. There is one thing to say about Gamescom, today was the first day that the fair was open to everyone and it was crowded. With that number, I'm wondering what it's going to be like on Saturday. Best find a quiet spot around noon and better not leave before 3pm. Perhaps you admire the extensive program of the cosplay stage.

Mit der berühmten Ansage ist nun auch der erste Tag zu Ende. Viel habe ich noch nicht gesehen, da ich mir mit Hoffnung auf mehr den Mittwoch noch frei gehalten hatte, doch drei Titel aus dem Business Bereich und ein paar Indies waren auch für den Auftakt ausreichend. Die kommenden Wochenenden werde ich wie gewohnt meine News rausbringen. Die Spiele von heute waren zum ersten Castle of Sin - Final Cut von Endeavor One, Killer Clowns von Illfonic und C&C Legions von Tencent Games. Dazu kommen noch ein paar Indies wie zum Beispiel A Twisted Tale und We left behind. Von der Gamescom an sich gibt es wenig zu berichten. Vieles ist noch so wie immer und sogar Nintendo hat wieder ihre Halle 9 bezogen. Was jedoch anders zu den letzten Jahren ist, ist aber auch nichts Neues, dass das Cosplay Village wieder einmal die Halle 5.1 bereichert. Wollen wir hoffen das es nicht zum nachteil ist. Warten wir also ab, was die kommenden Tage bringt, wenn die Besucher Anzahl steigt. Haltet bei dem Wetter auch nach freien Wasserspendern ausschau.

With the famous announcement, the first day is now over. I haven't seen much yet, as I had kept Wednesday free with hope for more, but three titles from the business area and a few indies were also enough for the start. The coming weekends I will bring out my news as usual. Today's games were Castle of Sin - Final Cut from Endeavor One, Killer Clowns from Illfonic and C&C Legions from Tencent Games. In addition there are a few indies like A Twisted Tale and We left behind. There is little to report from Gamescom itself. A lot is still the same as always and even Nintendo has moved back into their hall 9. What is different to the last years, but also nothing new, is that the Cosplay Village once again enriches hall 5.1. Let's hope that it is not to the disadvantage. So let's wait and see what the coming days will bring as the number of visitors increases. Keep an eye out for free water fountains in this weather.
